- While Beatrix Potter was inspired by animals from real life, she humanized them in her stories by illustrating them with clothes on.
- Other popular and endearing characters included the Flopsy bunnies, the adorable Tom Kitten, Jemima Puddle Duck and Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle the hedgehog.
- The 2006 film, "Miss Potter" was a film adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s life. Potter’s character was portrayed by the actress, Renée Zellweger.
